Wind Ensemble - The Wind Ensemble is the top performing band in the Klein Oak Band program. It is comprised primarily of seniors and juniors who have achieved the highest level of musicianship in the program. Members of this band perform in the marching band and participate in a variety of other musical activities. They are expected to participate in the All-Region Band / All-State Band audition process. They are assigned to chamber ensembles and are expected to participate in the KISD Solo and Ensemble Contest. They may also choose to participate in UIL Solo and Ensemble. This band represents Klein Oak High School as the varsity performing group at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest as well as at any other competitive performances. Individuals are also selected from this group to form the wind and percussion sections of the Full Orchestra and to accompany the school musical as members of the "pit orchestra". The emphasis in this performing group is on advanced individual musicianship and ensemble performance.
Symphonic Band - The Symphonic Band is the second performing band in the Klein Oak Band program. It is comprised primarily of juniors, sophomores, and advanced freshman musicians. Members of this band perform with the marching band and participate in a variety of other musical activities. They may elect to participate in the All-Region Band / All-State Band audition process. They are assigned to chamber ensembles and are expected to participate in the KISD Solo and Ensemble Contest. They may also choose to participate in UIL Solo and Ensemble. This band represents Klein Oak High School as the non-varsity performing group at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest as well as at any other competitive performances. The emphasis in this performing group is on developing individual musicianship and ensemble performance skills.
Concert Band - The Concert Band is the third performing band in the Klein Oak Band program. It is comprised primarily of sophomores and freshmen musicians. Members of this band perform with the marching band and participate several other musical activities. They are assigned to chamber ensembles and are expected to participate in the KISD Solo and Ensemble Contest. They may also choose to participate in UIL Solo and Ensemble. Members of this band do not participate in the All-Region Band / All-State Band audition process. This band represents Klein Oak High School as the sub-non-varsity performing group at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest as well as at any other competitive performances. The emphasis in this group is on developing individual musicianship and ensemble performance skills.
Varsity Band - The Varsity Band is the fourth performing band in the Klein Oak Band program. It is comprised primarily of freshmen musicians. Members of this band perform with the marching band. They may elect to participate in solo and ensemble contests but do not participate in the All-Region Band audition process. This band does not perform competitively but does participate in concerts and other non-competitive performances. The emphasis in this group is on basic individual musicianship and ensemble performance.
Fundamentals of Instrumental Music - This is a non-performing, non-competing class that focuses entirely on building individual musicianship. It is comprised exclusively of freshmen. Members of this class do not participate in marching band. Members of this class have multiple opportunities to audition for placement in a performing band and will be reassigned at the first available opportunity after demonstrating the necessary skills to advance. Membership in this class is limited to one year. If a student does not progress sufficiently to be placed in a higher band at the end of one year they will be removed from the band program.
Jazz Band - Jazz Band is an extra-curricular performing group that meets after school for a limited number of rehearsals. Membership is by audition only and is open to students from all bands. This band typically performs several times each year and attends one Jazz Festival. A Jazz class is offered during the school day where emphasis is placed on improvisation and small combo performance.

Todd Clearwater is the Director of Bands at Klein Oak High School. He holds a Bachleor's Degree in Music Education from New Mexico State University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston. Mr. Clearwater began his teaching career in 1987 and comes to Klein Oak with experience teaching band, orchestra, and Advanced Placement Music Theory. He is an active adjudicator and clinician around the state of Texas. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and Phi Beta Mu. |

Amanda Abbott is the Associate Band Director at Klein Oak High School. She is in her sixth year of teaching at Klein Oak. She graduated from Texas Tech in 2001 with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Ms. Abbott is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in conducting through Sam Houston State University. She has played in the Houston Concert Band and is currently a member of the Houston Symphonic Band. Ms. Abbott’s primary instrument is saxophone. In her free time, Ms. Abbot enjoys sky diving, traveling and eating chocolate. |

Christopher Rapacki is the Assistant Band Director at Klein Oak High School. He graduated from the Univeristy of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachleor's degree in Music Education. Mr. Rapacki directs all of the percussion activities with the Klein Oak. |

Twana Henneke is the Band Specialist at Klein Oak High School. She has been an music educator in the Houston area for many years and has taught a very successful flute studio in addition to her experience in elementary music education and band directing. |

| Lee Turner is the Color Guard instructor at Klein Oak High School. He joined the staff midway through the 2007 Winterguard season and led the group to a very sucessful conclusion. He has marching and teaching experience with some of the best groups and teachers in the area. |

Klein Oak High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Klein ISD covers 97.5 square miles of north Harris County. Approximately 100,000 people reside within the district. Klein Oak High School is located in the northern part of the district in a small residential suburban community. It is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Houston.
Klein Oak High School is composed of grades 9-12 with an enrollment of approximately 2200 students. Klein Oak is one of four high schools in the Klein ISD.
